Describing coffee and coffee flavor can feel intimidating and difficult to express. Within the context of a tasting and cupping, I provide tools and methods for connecting your sensory-experience to language that bolsters communication between you and your team and you and customers.

In a 3-hour comprehensive and interactive course, we'll examine the roots of coffee trade, the biology of the plant and seed structure, how coffee is processed and milled under different farm structures, what environmental and financial factors influence a producer's decisions, and how it all effects what you taste in the cup.
